Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Department of Med - Cardiovascular Disease, is seeking a Manager-Clinical Research Coordination to oversee multiple clinical studies and the research program. The role leads staff, ensures regulatory compliance, budgets, and partnerships with faculty and sponsors, and drives quality improvement in trial management systems such as CTMS (OnCore) and EDC tools.

Bachelor’s and 8+ years’ experience required; CRC/CCRP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Eight (8) or more years of related experience required.
• Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple clinical studies and manage research staff.
• Design best practices for management of IP for drug, device, and biologic studies.
• Prepare study budgets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Supervise and mentor research staff; drive quality improvement in trial management.
• Ensure studies comply with institutional, sponsor, federal, and regulatory requirements.
