Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to manage clinical trials and support evidence-based practice. The role performs nursing care within study protocols, coordinating activities and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating trials, assessing patient understanding, providing education, and consulting with the PI and staff. Requires PA RN licensure (or eNLC) and clinical research experience, with preferred Bachelor’s in Nursing.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• 2 years in a nursing role or relevant patient-facing clinical research experience.
• Experience with Windows based computer programs.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
• 2 years as a research nurse (Preferred).

Responsabilités

• Plans, coordinates, and manages all activities related to specific clinical trials.
• Collaborates with the PI and other staff in identifying potentially eligible patients.
• Assesses patients’ knowledge and understanding of the clinical trial.
• Provides education to patient, family, and staff involved in clinical trials.
• Troubleshoots problems with support areas in fulfilling requirements of the research protocol.
• Ensures compliance with the IRB and all regulatory agencies.
• This position may support activities relevant to specific specialties or disciplines.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
