Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa, FL is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse to coordinate and implement clinical studies under the principal investigator. The role requires an RN license and 2 years of healthcare experience, with preference for clinical research exposure.

You will manage regulatory documents, informed consent, and patient follow-up while ensuring compliance with IRB and study protocols. The position is full-time, exempt, with day shift hours at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Qualifications

• RN licensure (current in Florida) and strong clinical background.
• Experience with research coordination and regulatory processes.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to study protocols.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements research studies under the PI.
• Ensures adherence to protocol, IRB and regulatory requirements.
• Schedules patient visits and procedures per protocol.
• Screens patients, recruits for studies, and prepares IRB reports.
• Maintains regulatory documents and source data.
• Obtains informed consent and HIPAA authorization.
• Performs follow-up for study subjects and reports adverse events.

Title: Clinical Research Nurse

Facility: St. Joseph's Hospital

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and implements research studies for assigned services under the direction of the Principal investigator in accordance with the standards of good clinical practice, federal and state regulations and institutional review board (IRB) requirements
• Ensures adherence to the study protocol and schedule of events
• Patient visit scheduling for protocol related procedures
• Screening, study recruitment, preparation of IRB reports
• Establishment and maintenance of regulatory documents
• Performing the process of informed consent and HIPPA authorization
• Clinical follow-up of study subjects
• Creation and completion of source worksheets,
• Collecting source data for electronic data capture (EDC) systems or Case Report Form (CRF) completion
• Assesses patients for trial-related and non-trial related symptoms
• Reporting of adverse events, serious adverse events, and dispensing / accountability of investigational product
• Must work independently and use sound judgment while performing job duties
• Performs duties as assigned under the scope of related certification or licensure
