Job summary

Epogee is seeking a Clinical Research Manager to design, review and lead research initiatives supporting novel food and ingredient development. This role will blend deep technical expertise with project management to guide in vitro and in vivo studies, ensuring data integrity and regulatory readiness.

The candidate will collaborate with internal and external partners, manage timelines and budgets, and drive submissions for global regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD or extensive industry experience in nutrition, physiology, or related field.
• Experience designing, auditing and leading bioassay and clinical research studies with a proven track record of successful endpoints and high-quality data.
• Experience designing clinical study protocols, working with IRBs/ethics submission reviews, and managing external research partners.
• Ability to take a holistic and pragmatic view of study design, maintaining high-quality study design and defensible data.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and oversee human clinical studies from protocol development through IRB submission and site contracting.
• Design and manage in vitro and in vivo bioassay studies to support safety and efficacy claims.
• Serve as primary contact for CRO and academic partners, managing scope, timelines, budget, and data quality.
• Compile and QC data packages supporting global regulatory submissions (e.g., GRAS, EFSA).
• Partner with internal teams to ensure study designs meet submission requirements.
• Prioritize and triage across active studies for rapid execution vs rigorous review.
