Job summary

Epogee in New York City is seeking an Associate Scientist, Quality to join the independent Epogee team within Medici Brands. You will perform hands-on analytical testing, contribute to shelf-life studies, and help maintain data integrity and COAs for internal and external customers.

The role requires lab emphasis, collaboration with R&D and applications teams, and strict safety practices in a full-time on-site setting in NYC. Equity options and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Hands-on in-lab testing and data recording with wet chemistry.
• Familiarity with FDA, USDA, FSMA, HACCP, SQF, Prop 65 regulatory frameworks.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple projects.
• Willingness to work full-time in NYC office.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine and non-routine analytical testing on Epogee batches and ingredients.
• Perform shelf-life and stability testing for EPG and finished products.
• Support method development and validation for new test procedures.
• Maintain accurate lab records and ensure data integrity.
