Job summary

Headlands Research is seeking a Clinical Research Manager to coordinate clinical trials across our network. Based onsite in Escondido, CA, you will lead the research team, ensure adherence to protocols and GCP, and mentor staff to achieve project goals.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple trials while maintaining high quality data and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific, health-related, or business administration field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical research, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Certification as a Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, coordinate, and manage multiple clinical trials from initiation to completion.
• Ensure compliance with research protocols, regulatory requirements, and GCP guidelines.
• Recruit, enroll, and manage study participants throughout the entire study.
• Obtain informed consent and ensure understanding, collect data with Good Documentation Practices.
• Communicate with sponsors, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit regulatory documents as required.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of specimens and investigational products.
• Lead and mentor junior research staff, guiding skill mastery.
• Drive strategic plans and growth for clinical research programs.
• Address and resolve conflicts within the team and with external stakeholders.
