Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking a Research Assistant to support clinical trials and studies in the designated department.

The role focuses on data collection, validation, and entry using established tools, with duties spanning enrollment support and coordination with investigators. The candidate will assist in preparing abstracts, manuscripts, and regulatory documentation, while maintaining high data accuracy and timely records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 1 year of experience in research, administrative, or clinical support.
• Preferred: SoCRA or ACRP certification with three years hire date preferred.
• 1 year healthcare experience; 2 years in research, administrative, or clinical support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in study enrollment and specimen collection as needed.
• Assist with data collection and checking data completeness.
• Assist with follow-up mailings and phone calls to ensure Follow-Up Protocol is used.
• Review data collection forms for completeness and reconcile missing data for entry.
• Enter research data into databases ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare documents accurately and on time with correct grammar.
• Communicate project status clearly to the research team.
• Familiarize with study protocols and participate in data analysis activities.
• Maintain organized project files and regulatory documents.
• Collaborate with investigators and study coordinators for training and communication.
