Job summary

WVU Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking a Research Assistant to support data collection, validation, and entry for clinical trials. You will assist the research team, coordinate with study coordinators, and ensure data integrity across multiple studies.

The role emphasizes collaboration, adherence to protocols, and timely documentation while maintaining organized trial records and effective communication with investigators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• One year of experience in research, administrative, or clinical support.
• SoCRA or ACRP certification preferred within three years of hire.
• Two years of experience in research, administrative, or clinical support.

Responsibilities

• Assist in study enrollment and specimen collection as needed.
• Assist with data collection and checking data completeness.
• Assist with follow-up mailings and phone calls to ensure the Follow-Up Protocol is utilized.
• Review data collection forms for completeness and reconcile missing data for entry.
• Enter research/project data into databases ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Produce documents accurately and on time, corrected for content and grammar per project timeline.
• Obtain patient information from computer applications accurately and timely.
• Use computer software and Internet to plan meetings, presentations, and conferences.
• Prepare abstracts and manuscripts using appropriate software.
• Maintain well organized files for reference in the project.
• Communicate status of projects clearly to team members.
• Raise questions and seek information as needed to complete duties.
• Familiarize with all study protocols assigned to the department.
