Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a Research Technician to design, execute, and evaluate laboratory projects within the department. The role conducts simple to complex laboratory procedures following prescribed protocols to support research aims.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field and at least six months of laboratory experience. The incumbent will work under supervision to collect samples, manage data, and maintain equipment and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science-related field required.
• Six months of laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience in human subjects research or clinical laboratory settings a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run thromboelastography on human blood samples and document results.
• Coordinate blood collection for research studies with clinicians.
• Maintain clinical databases for cancer patient outcomes and project updates.
• Complete statistical analyses and prepare figures/tables for reports.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are stocked and maintained.
