Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop operating procedures and workflow processes to keep the project on schedule; monitor progress and deliverables; generate reports and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate meetings, trainings, and presentations between participants, research teams, sponsors, and organizations; create agendas and conduct trainings.
  • Develop recruitment and data collection plans including methods, goals, and evaluation procedures.
  • Prepare documentation for projects including SOPs, data collection forms, trial submissions, and manuals.
  • Submit regulatory documents and maintain communications with IRB, ORA, NIH, Clinical Trials Office and HRPP; liaise with regulatory agencies and university offices.
  • Oversee the process for reviewing and approving new clinical trials.
  • Identify and resolve project issues; recommend and implement solutions.
  • Manage budgets and resources; process financial transactions including travel, p-card, transfers, and budget realignments.
  • Track personnel certifications, training completion, and compliance records.
  • Coordinate award administration; assist researchers with proposal preparation and submissions.
  • May supervise staff including hiring and performance management.

POSITION SPECIFICS

The Penn State Neuroscience Institute at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA is seeking a clinical research coordinator to support the neuro oncology research program.



  • Develop operating procedures and workflow processes to ensure that the scope and direction of the project is on schedule; monitor project progress and deliverables; generate reports and deliver presentations to stakeholders

  • Coordinate meetings, trainings, and presentations between participants, research teams, sponsors, and internal or external organizations; create agendas for meetings and conduct training sessions

  • Develop recruitment and data collection plans including methods, tools, goals, and evaluation procedures

  • Coordinate and create documentation for projects including operating procedures, data collection forms, templates, clinical trial submissions, and manuals

  • Author, review, and submit regulatory compliance documents and maintain communications with internal and external entities (IRB, ORA, NIH, Clinical Trials Office and HRPP), maintain relationships with governmental or regulatory agencies, research organizations, and central University offices

  • Direct the process for reviewing and approving new clinical trials

  • Identify, communicate, and resolve project issues; recommend and implement solutions

  • Manage and track budgets and resources to assure efforts align with project\/study guidelines; process financial transactions in support of the project including travel, p-card, transfers, and budget realignments

  • Track and document personnel and project certifications, training completion, and compliance records

Minimum Education, Work Experience & Required Certifications

If filled as Clinical Research Coordinator - Intermediate Professional, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None If filled as Clinical Research Coordinator - Professional, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education. Required Certifications: None

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $49,188.00 - $78,444.00.
