Job summary

Pittsburgh Hearing Institute in Pittsburgh is seeking a highly organized Clinical Research Coordinator to support otologic research initiatives.

You will assist faculty and study teams with coordination and day-to-day management of research projects, including IRB protocol maintenance, participant coordination, data management, and grant preparation. On-campus role with standard weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Prior clinical research experience preferred.
• Experience in clinical, biomedical, neuroscience or related research desirable.
• Experience with research participant coordination, regulatory documentation, data management or academic research desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the development, preparation, submission, and maintenance of IRB protocols and related regulatory documentation.
• Coordinating clinical research activities and maintaining accurate study documentation and records.
• Supporting participant identification, recruitment, enrollment, scheduling, and study follow-up, as applicable.
• Collecting, entering, managing, and assisting with analysis of research data.
• Supporting the preparation of grant applications, abstracts, presentations, manuscripts, and other research materials.
• Working with the Institute’s coordinator monitoring study-related budgets, expenditures, and project documentation.
• Supporting multiple research projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining organized and detailed records.
• Conducts research assessments on study participants and adheres to IRB renewals, modifications, and approved protocols.
• Assists with training staff and ensures adherence to protocols.
• Ability to navigate UPMC facilities and Pitt campus and perform testing with equipment.
