Description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Pediatric Neurosurgery, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I.

The Clinical Research Coordinator I supports clinical research studies by recruiting and communicating with participants, scheduling study visits, collecting and maintaining accurate research data, and ensuring study activities follow established protocols. The role also assists investigators with study documentation, monitoring visits, data entry, and administrative tasks while working closely with the research team to ensure studies are conducted accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with research requirements.

General Responsibilities
  • To serve as coordinator for studies and provide support to other team members within the confines of the protocol as directed.
  • To support screening and participant eligibility determination, working with more senior team members to ensure compliance.
  • To conduct activities in accordance with the protocol, regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • To assist with the study life cycle from start-up to closure, i.e., collecting and recording data, recruiting and performing follow-up with participants, scheduling visits and assisting in coordination of lab and fieldwork.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range

$43,890 - $71,320

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.

Preferences

A degree in a related clinical, healthcare, laboratory, or research field is preferred but not required.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills, along with experience in clinical research, data collection, documentation, or working with research participants.
