Job Description Summary
The clinical research coordinator (CRC) is responsible for the execution of clinical research trials with the Neuromuscular Research Division in the Department of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania.
Job Description
Each candidate will be required to carry out daily activities related to industry-sponsored, grant or federally funded research protocols, as well as assist in the conduct of investigator-initiated research and division-specific research projects and operations. The primary function of these positions are to facilitate, promote, and ensure good clinical practice in the conduct of all research protocols in the department. This is an onsite, patient facing role in which the clinical research coordinator will adhere to all aspects of protocol maintenance, training and compliance. Responsibilities will include coordination of clinical trial visits and communications, working closely with members of the research team, physicians, pharmacists, nurses and clinical care teams to provide optimal care to Neuromuscular patients. Additional duties include regular office duties (e.g. scanning and filing research records, maintaining study supply inventories), data entry and expense tracking.
Candidates eligible for the CRC-B position will require demonstrable experience and proficiency in the above-listed duties and will carry out these duties with limited supervision. Additional duties include overseeing junior coordinators and independently completing regulatory and IRB submissions. Prior experience with industry sponsored collaborators is preferred.
These positions are contingent upon funding.
Hiring range minimum for this position is $46,500.
Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
