Pennington Biomedical Research Center seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator 1 in Population and Public Health Sciences. The role supports the Pennington Generation longitudinal cohort study enrolling children, adolescents and families across Louisiana to understand obesity and related conditions.
You will implement study procedures, manage documents, consent, screening, recruitment, data capture, safety monitoring, and retention with a mobile health unit travel across the state.
At the forefront of medical discovery as it relates to understanding the causes of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer and dementia, Pennington Biomedical Research Center is a campus of Louisiana State University and conducts basic, clinical and population research. The Center includes Basic Science, Clinical Research, and Population and Public Health, enabling both focused research and translational science. Research at Pennington Biomedical is supported broadly by multiple NIH Research Centers , and includes approximately 65 faculty and 20 postdoctoral fellows who comprise a network of 44 laboratories and 13 highly specialized core service facilities. Pennington Biomedical is located within state-of-the-art research facilities on a 222-acre campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a world-renowned academic research institute of Louisiana State University, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator 1 in Population and Public Health Sciences.
Pennington Generation is a longitudinal cohort study enrolling children and adolescents and their families from throughout Louisiana and following them over time to better understand the causes and consequences of the development of obesity and other chronic conditions. The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of this statewide cohort study. The Clinical Research Coordinator will work with a team who are responsible for the maintenance and implementation of study documents (protocols, manuals of procedure, Institutional Review Board materials, etc.), participant informed consent and screening, recruitment, assessment, and retention of participants in studies, safety monitoring, data monitoring, and overall study conduct. The position will require frequent statewide travel on a mobile health unit on which the study visits and other study procedures will take place.
