Pennington Biomedical Research Center seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator 1 in Population and Public Health Sciences. The role supports the Pennington Generation longitudinal cohort study enrolling children, adolescents and families across Louisiana to understand obesity and related conditions.

You will implement study procedures, manage documents, consent, screening, recruitment, data capture, safety monitoring, and retention with a mobile health unit travel across the state.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Biological Sciences, Psychology, Kinesiology, Nursing, Nutrition, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• 1 year of experience in clinical research or related field; internships or lab work acceptable.
• Experience interacting with research participants or communities in professional setting.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project coordination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, screening, informed consent, enrollment, and follow-up per protocols and GCP.
• Travel statewide to conduct study visits on mobile health unit; multi-day trips possible.
• Build relationships with participants and community partners to support recruitment and retention.
• Manage study documentation, regulatory records, EDC systems, and data quality activities.
• Collaborate with investigators to achieve study milestones and prepare reports.
