Job summary

Dayton Physicians Network is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support oncology trials and ensure regulatory compliance. You will coordinate trial activities across startup to close-out, maintain documentation, and ensure adherence to FDA, GCP/ICH, and IRB requirements.

The role requires strong communication, meticulous organization, and experience with EMR/EDC systems, vendor portals, and MS Office. Some travel between locations is anticipated as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in nursing or health field preferred.
  • Oncology/Hematology/Urology/Radiation Oncology clinical research experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with GCP and IRB requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct activities designated by the PI for assigned trials.
  • Prepare and maintain trial regulatory documents, source documents, trial binders, and investigator site files.
  • Coordinate, conduct, and document screening and enrollment activities.
  • Schedule and lead monitoring visits; maintain communication with CRO/CRA's.
  • Collect, process, and manage data entry for trials; ensure accuracy and timely submission.
  • Maintain trial-related administrative tasks such as mailings, billing trackers, and trial spreadsheets.
  • Coordinate with departments and travel between locations as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The clinical research coordinator (CRC) will coordinate and conduct all activities designated by the PI for an assigned clinical trial. The CRC will ensure that the trial maintains accordance with protocols, FDA regulations, GCP/ICH, and IRB requirements.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates trial activities from start up to close out for all assigned trials.
  • Prepares, maintains, and coordinates regulatory documents, source documents, trial binders, investigator site files, and all other trial specific regulatory activities for assigned trials.
  • Coordinates, conducts, and documents screening and enrollment activities for assigned trials.
  • Schedules and leads monitoring visits. Maintains communication with CRO/CRA's.
  • Schedules all assigned trial visit needs, obtains protocol specific training, and completes all designated protocol/trial procedures.
  • Collects, processes, and manages all data entry for all assigned trials while maintaining accuracy, completeness, and timely submission
  • Completes and updates any mailings, billing trackers, trial spreadsheets or other trial specific administrative tasks.
  • Processes and ships specimens as required by protocol. Maintains hazardous materials certification.
  • Maintains investigational drug inventory, drug accountability records, and other trial inventory/accountability needs.
  • Addresses and reports queries, protocol deviations, and participant safety issues and/or adverse events.
  • Coordinates with other departments, locations, labs, team members when needed.
  • Travels between locations as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and/ or Experience:

A bachelor's degree in nursing or other health related field is preferred.Previous Oncology/ Hematology/ Urology/ Radiation Oncology clinical research experience is preferred. Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements.

General Skill Requirements:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and exceptional organizational skills
  • Experience working with EMR's, EDC's, Vendor Portals
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams)
  • Attendance, punctuality, and flexibility are essential for this role.
