General Summary:
The Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator leads, manages, and coordinates research programs and studies for the Clinical Research Program and physician Principal Investigators. Provides nursing leadership in accordance with protocol requirements, physicians’ orders, and applicable medical center policies and procedures. Ensures hospital compliance with regulations and sponsor guidelines, and maintains ongoing approval to participate in studies.
Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
Bachelor’s Degree required; BSN strongly preferred; MSN preferred. Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner. Clinical Research Certification and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certification are preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and Driver License are required.
At least three years of nursing experience, with active practice within the past 5 years preferred. One or more years of experience in leading or coordinating clinical research studies, preferably in Oncology. Effective communication skills, computer literacy, and ability to organize and report data are essential. Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, maintain patient confidentiality, and delegate tasks appropriately.
Reports directly to the Manager of Holy Cross Hospital Clinical Research Program. Responsibilities are to be organized and implemented through self-direction and initiative.
