Job summary

Aurora Diagnostics LLC is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator in Austin, TX, to support pre-clinical research preparations and data collection. The role emphasizes accurate records, sample handling, and regulatory adherence.

You will work with a team to ensure compliant processing of biospecimens, maintaining confidentiality and meeting IRB guidelines while supporting ongoing research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or related field.
• Experience in a laboratory or pathology setting is preferred.
• Experience working in regulated environments with biological samples is desirable.
• Strong data management and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, retrieve, process and collect data for archived samples per project specs.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all studies.
• Ensure de-identification and proper transfer of study data per IRB guidelines.
• Interpret and transcribe medical terminology related to biospecimen annotations.
• Follow protocols for sample handling, storage and shipping of specimens.
• Complete annual training within required timeframe.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with regulations and policies.
• Adhere to HIPAA, Safety and OSHA requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for collection and preparation of samples for pre-clinical research.

Essential Key Responsibilities:

• Become proficient in the identification, retrieval, processing and data collection associated with archived biological samples for research that meet project specifications.
• Maintain accurate records and proper documentation of project activities associated with all assigned studies.
• Develop competency in properly de-identifing study samples and become knowledgeable in the appropriate transfer of study data in compliance with all federal regulations and Institutional Review Board (IRB) guidelines.
• Gain and apply expertise in the interpretation and transcription of complex medical terminology associated with research biospecimen annotations.
• Adhere to all relevant protocols and guidelines for sample handling, storage, and shipping of biological samples
• Complete annual training programs within the required timeframe
• Maintain strictest confidentiality
• Comply with all state, federal, professional regulations as well as company and departmental rules, polices, and procedural manuals
• Adhere to HIPAA, Safety and OSHA Regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, BA/BS science-related degree preferred

Experience:

• Experience working in laboratory or industry related fields
• Experience working in pathology laboratories desired
• Experience working in regulated environments with biological samples and processing
