Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Clinical Research Associate I to oversee multiple research protocols, ensuring efficiency and regulatory compliance. You will assist with clinic coverage, data compilation and submission, and data flow management across studies under experienced mentorship.

The role emphasizes IRB/DSMB/PRMC-CPRMC regulatory support, collaboration with hospital staff, and maintaining patient confidentiality while delivering accurate study data.

Qualifications

• Associates degree. Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
• One year of experience in a health care setting, preferably clinical research.
• Experience with medical record review, health information systems, and/or clinical trials is preferred.
• Superb communication and problem-solving skills and able to function independently and proficiently.
• Demonstrable computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or Microsoft Access as well as skills in data management and analyses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct protocol management for an assigned set of multiple research protocols.
• Complete and maintain regulatory documents for IRB, DSMB and PRMC/CPRMC.
• Recruit patients to study and establish and maintain relationships with patients, visitors and other hospital personnel, while assuring confidentiality of patient information.
• Compile and submit data on appropriate forms according to protocol requirements.
• Collect and deliver specimens for analysis using specified equipment and ensure proper labeling.

A Clinical Research Associate I role is available within the National Medical Center of City of Hope. You will oversee managing the assigned set of multiple research protocols to assure efficiency and regulatory compliance with the protocol, attending clinic as needed, with mentorship by experienced staff. You will also be responsible for compilation, registration and submission of data and maintaining a system for effective data flow associated with research protocols.

As a successful candidate, you will:
