Job summary

City of Hope in Duarte, CA, seeks a Clinical Research Associate II to manage multiple research protocols and ensure regulatory compliance across studies. The role involves patient registration, data collection, and collaboration with clinicians to order protocol-specific tests.

Ideal candidates will have an Associate's degree, 1 year in healthcare research, and at least 6 months CRA I experience at City of Hope. Bachelor's degree preferred and related health information systems familiarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience/training as CRA I at City of Hope.

Responsibilities

• Conduct protocol management for an assigned set of multiple research protocols.
• Maintain current and accurate protocol documentation; notify investigators of pertinent protocol changes.
• Ensure that patients are appropriately registered; maintain documentation of patient registration.
• Compile and submit data on appropriate forms according to protocol requirements.
• Ensure protocol compliance with intensive monitoring of specific study requirements and schedules protocol related treatment and tests.
• Play an active role in recruitment of patients to study.
• Train and mentor new clinical research staff members.
• Collect and deliver specimens for analysis, using appropriate equipment for collecting and handling specimens.
• Work with physician or nurse to ensure protocol related tests and evaluations are ordered per protocol guidelines.

City of Hope has a Clinical Research Associate II (CRA II) opportunity available. The CRA II manages an assigned set of multiple research protocols to assure efficiency and regulatory compliance of the protocol, attending clinic as needed.

As a successful candidate, you will:

• Conduct protocol management for an assigned set of multiple research protocols.
• Maintain current and accurate protocol documentation; notify investigators of pertinent protocol changes.

Qualifications - External

Your qualifications should include:

• Associate's degree.
• Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
• One year of experience working in a health care setting, preferably in research.
• Must have a minimum of 6 months experience/training as a CRA I at the City of Hope.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Familiarity with medical records, health information systems, or related health field.
