Virginia Heart is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant to support the execution of outpatient cardio trials. You will assist in coordinating studies, recruit/enroll participants, manage regulatory documents, and ensure adherence to GCP and FDA standards.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience required in clinical research or related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with ICH-GCP and FDA regulations is desirable.
• EMR experience, EPIC is a plus, and MS Office proficiency.
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication.
• Good time management and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Clinical Research Coordinator to plan and complete studies.
• Assist in recruitment, screening, and enrollment of participants per criteria.
• Maintain regulatory documents, study protocols, and participant records.
• Coordinate visits and procedures, scheduling tests and ensuring timely activities.
• Communicate with participants, providers, and staff to support procedures.
• Assist in data collection, entry, and data integrity with confidentiality.
• Prepare and submit regulatory documents to authorities and IRBs.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and QA activities as required.
• Keep up to date with GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements.
