Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant in Medical Oncology to support the Hasanov Lab and clinical trial activities. You will coordinate patient sample collection, assist with data collection from EMR reviews, and enter data into study databases such as CLIMBS and REDCAP, while maintaining regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences or medical field, or equivalent combination of education experience required.
• 0 years of relevant experience required.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a Clinical and Translational Research Assistant providing support to the Hasanov Lab in the Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology (PIIO) and to our clinical trial partners; coordinates and tracks collection of patient research samples.
• Assists in collection of research data; performs data collection with electronic medical record chart review; assists with data entry and maintaining study databases (CLIMBS, REDCAP).
• Oversees and maintains accurate records of research activities; maintains IRB approvals and regulatory documentation; provides support in planning and implementing programmatic activities.
• Serves as a liaison with research team and other departments; attends research team meetings; assists with analysis of research results and planning of translational studies.
• Co-authors manuscripts; may learn statistical analyses and assists with publications, posters, and abstracts.
