Job summary

K2 Medical Research in Orlando, FL is seeking Clinical Research Assistants to support trial activities and ensure compliance with SOPs and federal regulations. The role involves coordinating with investigators, monitoring patient enrollment, and maintaining source documentation across trials in neurodegenerative and cardiometabolic medicine.

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma or GED; Bachelor's preferred.
• Experience in clinical environment; clinical research ideal.
• Nursing licensure (LPN/RN) or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track and move candidates through screening; support coordinators.
• Understand studies via protocols, investigator/start-up meetings; coordinate with PI.
• Assist Site Director and PM on projects as needed.
• Adhere to study protocol; obtain exemptions when necessary.
• Communicate protocol issues to CRO/Sponsor and site team.
• Document and email communications during meetings.
• Collect initial psychiatric and medical information by patient interviews.
• Maintain flow of communication among patient, staff, sponsor, CRO, monitors.
• Utilize psychiatric rating scales and maintain interrater reliability.
• Perform clinical tasks: vital signs, ECG, phlebotomy, specimen packaging.
• Dispense and maintain records of study medication.
• Educate patients and families about the study and trials.
• Complete monitor and sponsor queries promptly.
• Provide community resource referrals at conclusion of participation.
