North Ridge Health and Rehab in New Hope, MN is seeking a full-time Clinical Reimbursement / MDS Director to lead all MDS duties for our health care team.

You will oversee day-to-day operations of the MDS department, coordinate interdisciplinary assessments, and ensure adherence to MDS rules and Medicare regulations. The role may include RN duties as needed, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• RN licensure with MN Board required
• Current CPR certification required
• 2–3 years experience as an MDS Coordinator / Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator
• Strong knowledge of Minnesota case mix
• Ability to manage multiple payor sources (Medicare, Managed care, etc.)
• Experience with 3.0, PPS, and Case Mix
• Ability to pass license checks, background checks and drug screens
• Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to MDS team members
• Coordinate interdisciplinary assessment processes across nursing, therapy, dietary, social services and other departments
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of Federal and State assessment tools
• Intake and upload documents into residents' electronic medical records; may perform RN duties as needed
• Understand Medicare rules and MDS submission processes and final validation reports

The is responsible for overseeing day to day operations for department. providing leadership, education, coaching, and accountability to MDS team members. Coordinate the interdisciplinary assessment process and ensure appropriate collaboration among nursing, therapy, dietary, social services, and other departments. Ensuring the team is timely and accurate with completion of the Federal and State assessment tools but may also be called upon to perform duties of an RN, if needed. This position requires a strong understanding of the MDS rules and regulations as described in the MDS User's Manual, including item coding, RAI RAPS, CAA's, Care Planning, electronic submission, scheduling, PPS including knowledge of MDS submission process, final validation reports, and an understanding of Medicare rules and regulations including coverage, benefit periods, certification, 30 Day rule. you will intake all processed forms, including but not limited to, order sheets, doctor notes, pharmacy recommendations, order summaries and lab results and scanning them into electronic form to upload each document into the applicable resident's electronic medical record.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR Clinical Reimbursement / MDS Director

• Current RN licensure with the MN Board of Nursing
• Current CPR certification
• 2-3 years of experience as an MDS Coordinator / Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator
• Vast knowledge of Minnesota case mix
• The ability to manage multiple payor sources (Medicare, Managed care, etc.)
• Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant completion and submission of MDS assessments
• Good organization skills
• Experience with 3.0, PPS, and Case Mix
• Ability to pass license check, background check and drug screen
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPPA regulations
• Desire to work with the elderly
