Job summary

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Clinical Registered Dietitian for a full-time role in a hospital setting. You will perform nutrition assessments, develop care plans, and provide education to patients and families while collaborating with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and therapists.

The position offers 32-40 hours per week with flexible scheduling, a competitive hourly rate of $50-$55 per hour, benefits, and mileage reimbursement based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD/RDN).
• Minimum of 1-3 years of recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Proficiency in enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with healthcare teams in high-pressure settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and regulatory standards for hospital accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients at nutritional risk.
• Develop and monitor individualized nutrition care plans for complex medical conditions.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and case managers to optimize outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, CMS, and JCI guidelines.
• Maintain thorough EMR documentation in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor weight, labs, fluid status, and clinical condition to adjust interventions.
