Job summary

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC invites a Clinical Registered Dietitian to join our team in Lancaster, CA. This full-time role offers 32-40 hours weekly with flexible days and hours. Compensation is $50-$55 per hour plus benefits and mileage reimbursement.

You will perform nutrition assessments, develop care plans for patients with complex medical conditions, provide education, collaborate with the care team, ensure regulatory compliance, and document in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD/RDN).
• Minimum of 1-3 years of recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting (required).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients at nutritional risk.
• Develop, implement and monitor individualized nutrition care plans for patients with complex medical conditions.
• Offer nutrition education and counseling to patients and families regarding acute disease management, discharge planning, and readmission prevention.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other care team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards (TJC, CMS).
• Maintain thorough and timely EMR documentation in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor weight, labs, fluid status, and clinical changes; adjust interventions as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical rounds.
• Serve as a nutrition expert and resource for hospital staff.
• Perform other tasks within scope of practice as needed.
