Job summary

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Clinical Registered Dietitian to join our team in Palmdale, CA. This full-time role offers 32-40 hours weekly with flexible days and hours.

Compensation ranges from $50.00 to $55.00 per hour, based on experience, with benefits and mileage reimbursement. You will conduct nutrition assessments, develop care plans, educate patients and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics or Nutrition.
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD/RDN).
• 1–3 years of recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Proficiency in enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in high-pressure healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients identified at nutritional risk.
• Develop, implement and monitor nutrition care plans for complex medical conditions.
• Offer nutrition education and counseling to patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, SLPs, case managers and the care team.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Maintain thorough and timely EMR documentation.
• Monitor patients for changes in weight, labs, and clinical status; adjust interventions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical rounds.
• Serve as a nutrition educator and resource for hospital staff.
• Perform other tasks as assigned within scope.
