Job summary

ANTHC Specialty Clinic Departments seeks an organized referral specialist to process internal and external medical referrals, coordinating with teams to ensure timely and accurate handling. You will monitor EHR notifications, review referrals, and gather essential patient information to support efficient care delivery.

The role requires knowledge of healthcare programs, HIPAA rules, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and tribal healthcare programs.
• Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy Rule and privacy acts.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and referral processes.
• Ability to review and manage medical referrals accurately.

Responsibilities

• Monitor EHR notifications and referral systems to process requests.
• Review referrals for completeness and follow up as needed.
• Gather patient demographic and clinical information for referrals.
• Complete referrals within established timeframes and communicate status.
• Act as liaison between ANTHC and Tribal Health Organization partners.
