Job summary

Cumberland Heights Foundation Inc in Nashville, TN seeks a Clinical Associate to support counseling staff in delivering direct and indirect services for patients, helping them engage in treatment within a therapeutic milieu. You will assist with assessments, psycho-education, and coordinating group activities, including 12-step meetings, and help transport patients as needed.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED (bachelor’s preferred), related addictions treatment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year of addictions treatment experience preferred.
• CPRS certification is preferred but not required.
• Valid Tennessee driver's license preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn and use clinical software quickly.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication abilities.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to interact respectfully with diverse patients and staff.
• Fluent written and spoken English with effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and orientation to patients and families about clinical programs.
• Maintain a welcoming, safe, and healing environment for patients.
• Assist in patient assessment and data collection within the therapeutic milieu.
• Support in crisis de-escalation and safety procedures as needed.
• Administer and coordinate psycho-education on addiction and recovery.
• Coordinate community meetings, 12-step groups, and in-house activities.
• Transport patients to meetings and activities using company vehicles as needed.
• Assist in documenting clinical information in the patient record.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of funds.
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement activities.
