Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Records Manager to oversee all aspects of maintaining and protecting organization clinical records in a healthcare setting. You will lead the clinical records team and ensure policy implementation and regulatory compliance across state and federal requirements.

Responsibilities include supervising daily records processing, protecting confidentiality, and auditing records post-discharge, while coordinating with the Clinical Director and other leaders.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in clinical records management, preferably in home health or hospice care operations.
• Information systems knowledge required.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct clerical personnel.
• Knowledge of corporate business management and governmental regulations.
• Demonstrates good communication skills and public relations skills.
• Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manages all daily clinical records functions including establishing and implementing clinical records policies.
• Ensures clinical record systems are maintained in compliance with state, federal and regulations.
• Maintains working knowledge of state and federal regulations and serves as a resource for organization personnel.
• Protects all clinical records through control procedures for open and closed records.
• Protects confidentiality of patient and organization information through effective controls and supervision of clinical records.
• Recruits, selects, orients, and manages members of the clinical records team.
• Monitors unsigned physician orders and follows up with overdue physicians to obtain signatures.
• Supervises the clinical records information system and stays updated on upgrades and enhancements.
