Job summary

Inova Center for Personalized Health in Falls Church, VA is seeking a dedicated Radiation Physicist for a full-time, Monday–Friday day shift. Sign-on bonus eligible.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Physics (Doctoral preferred), ABR certification, and at least 3 years of clinical medical physics experience. Protons therapy and RayStation experience are highly valued; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physics or related field required.
• Doctoral degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years clinical medical physics experience.
• ABR certification required.
• Virginia Inspector license within 3 months of hire.
• Availability to work outside normal hours (nights/weekends).
• Knowledge of scripting preferred.
• Experience with RayStation planning system preferred.
• Prior proton therapy experience preferred.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs, and performs research projects and promotes research outputs.
• Provides educational activities to medical school students, dosimetry students, therapy students, and medical physics residents.
• Provides support to the dosimetry team in treatment planning.
• Provides support to the radiation therapy team in patient treatment.
• Works closely with radiation oncologists in every aspect of patient's radiation therapy care.
• Develops, and performs routine quality assurance of patient's plan and the system.
• Validates new devices, equipment or tools for patient's treatment.
