Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in Clinical Medical Physics.
• The American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification is required.
• Virginia Inspector certification within the first 3 months of hire, with application submitted at hire.

Responsibilities

• Designs, performs research projects and promotes research outputs.
• Provides educational activities to various students and residents.
• Supports dosimetry and radiation therapy teams in treatment.
• Works closely with oncologists for patient treatment care.
• Develops and performs routine quality assurance of patient’s plan.

Skills

Strong communication skills

Knowledge of scripting

Experience with Raystation treatment planning system

Prior experience with proton therapy

Education

Master’s degree in Physics or a related field

Doctoral degree in Physics or a related field
