Qualifications

• Texas LVN License required.

• Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, COLA/CLIA, CARF and HIPAA standards.
• Ability to interpret raw data and comparative analysis; experience with accreditation surveys.
• Independent decision making; professional image; regulatory standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

Job Details: Job Location: Horizon Rehabilitation Hospital - McKinney, TX 75071, Position Type: Full Time, Job Shift: Day, LVN LICENSE REQUIRED

Position Summary

Responsible for guiding and assisting with quality management efforts to ensure continuous improvement and organizational excellence, adherence with all regulatory, compliance, accreditation, and legal issues, and promote a safe environment for all employees, patients and visitors. Formulates study specifications to produce desired information for and in compliance with the accreditation requirements. Works independently and deals with sensitive confidential and regulatory information daily. The Quality Assurance Coordinator completes clinical audits for compliance, assists the Chief Operations Officer with development, communication, implementation and tracking of action plans necessary to close identified gaps in care or compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, COLA/CLIA, CARF and HIPAA standards and regulations.

• Ability to interpret raw data and comparative analysis, experience in conducting educational in-services, experience in accreditation/certification survey activities for The Joint Commission, CMS, State Licensure and demonstrated experience in working effectively with multiple departments on confidential issues in a positive and constructive manner.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions
