Horizon Rehabilitation Hospital in McKinney, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for night shift to develop, implement, evaluate, and update individualized plans of care for patients and families, while supporting hospital mission and values. The RN will coordinate care, supervise nursing staff, and ensure quality and safety throughout all shifts.
The position requires RN licensure in the state, BLS certification, ACLS within six months of hire, and preference for prior acute care experience.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating, and updating individualized plans of care for assigned patients and their families while supporting the mission and values of the Hospital. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, as well as appropriately delegating and supervising nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act and established hospital policies and procedures.Key responsibilities of the Registered Nurse include demonstrating clinical competency; coordinating and managing patient care; promoting quality and patient safety; building effective professional relationships; applying sound clinical judgment and nursing skills; fulfilling the responsibilities and expectations of the RN role within the hospital; and continuing to develop clinical knowledge and expertise within their area of specialty.

Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required. Current BLS certification required.
Current ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.
Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred. Ability to project a professional image.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required. Current BLS certification required. ACLS certification required are mandatory for charge nurses duties.
