Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience or completion of training in area of specialty.
• CAPTE-approved PTA program or Associates degree in physical therapy.
• Hawaii PTA license required.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and establish rapport with patients and families.
• Assist in implementing treatment plans under guidance of a physical therapist.
• Consult with physical therapists and document conferences.
• Present cases to the therapy team as required.
• Provide direct therapy interventions such as therapeutic exercises, modalities, and ADL training.
• Document patient status, treatment progression, and discharge needs.
