The New York Foundling is seeking a psychotherapist to provide mental health services to youth in foster care. The NY Foundling's Specialized Clinical and Psychiatric Services Department is recruiting a psychotherapist to provide mental health services to youth in foster care. The therapist will enhance their clinical skills, receive training in evidence-based modalities, supervision toward licensure, and be part of a multidisciplinary team. The primary role involves supporting clients aged 0-21 in achieving their goals through evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family sessions, and collaborating with other treatment providers.

The position is based at our Staten Island office, 1 Edgewater Plaza. It is a hybrid role, 35 hours per week, with at least 3 days onsite. Some evening hours may be required to see youth after school, potentially extending to 7:00 or 7:30 pm.
The main responsibilities include:
Salary Range: $63,750 - $72,250/year
Education/Licensure: Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field. Must hold or be eligible for a provisional license (LP-MHC, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT, LCSW). Provisional licensees are expected to participate in supervision.

Master’s Degree from an accredited U.S. institution or credential evaluation for non-U.S. degrees.
