Job summary

Wander Staffing is seeking one Clinical Psychologist to provide psychological evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center (59 MDW), Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. The position is 100% on-site with a long-term contract and a $64/hour rate.

Qualified candidates will have a PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program, completion of an APA-accredited internship, and a valid license to practice in the U.S.

CONTRACT DETAILS

Long-term

Note: The duration of the contract is between the government and Wander Staffing. As with any position, if life requires you to leave, please provide a 60-day notice.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited college or university
• Completion of an APA-accredited psychology internship
• Additional training is required for psychology specialties
• Valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a psychologist in any of the 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands
• Must meet credentialing requirements, including experience and licensure
• Must have prior experience working in a hospital facility. Experience from other types of healthcare settings will not be accepted

DUTIES

• Practice within your state licensing board’s guidelines, the APA Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and your MTF privileges
• Conduct psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources as appropriate
• Establish psychiatric diagnoses using the DSM
• Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups
• Help medical and surgical patients cope with illnesses or injuries
• Assist with patient rehabilitation
