This position is located at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, NV.

Responsibilities

Position Duties:

  1. Conduct comprehensive clinical psychological diagnostics, strategies, procedures, and interventions for children from birth to 21 years with developmental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
  2. Perform psychological assessments for children exhibiting chronic behavioral issues or emotional impairments.
  3. Administer, score, and interpret psycho-diagnostic tests for diagnosing mental, personality, and behavioral disorders in children and adolescents with complex interpersonal developmental issues, independently.
  4. Integrate interview data with psycho-diagnostic test results to establish accurate diagnoses following DSM criteria.
  5. Provide direct therapy, consultation, and co-teaching services to children with identified psychotherapy needs based on evaluations.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist (Pediatrics):

Degree: Doctoral (Ph.D. or equivalent) in a field directly related to clinical psychology.

Specialized Experience: At least one year of experience conducting behavioral health assessments, providing individual and group treatments, and working within a multidisciplinary team, comparable to GS-12 level work.

Note: Education cannot substitute experience for this position.

Licensure: Must hold a current, active, valid, unrestricted license to practice psychology independently in the U.S. Must provide a copy with the application.
