Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in psychology is required.
  • Licensure as a Virginia Licensed Clinical Psychologist within one year of hire; must be maintained.
  • Proficiency in administration and scoring of basic psychological tests; strong psychotherapeutic skills.
  • Ability to analyze behavior, develop behavioral plans, and work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; familiarity with psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery model.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients in recovery and answer mental health questions for community partners.
  • Work with civilly committed individuals, court-ordered treatment, and pre/post-trial populations.
  • Provide treatment updates and clinical reports; conduct assessments and diagnoses.
  • Participate in educational resources, webinars, and expert consultations.
