Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Doctoral Psychologist to join the Behavioral Health team. The role focuses on clinical assessments, DSM diagnoses, treatment planning, and crisis management in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will supervise psychology staff and interns, conduct forensic evaluations, and may provide court testimony as needed. Applicants should have a APA-accredited PhD in Clinical Psychology and NC license eligibility; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from APA-approved program.
• Licensed or license-eligible as a Licensed Practicing Psychologist in NC.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments based on clinical interview and DSM standards.
• Formulate diagnoses using DSM standards.
• Write treatment plans according to diagnosis and age.
• Collaborate with guardians for service delivery.
• Provide clinical supervision to psychology staff/interns.
• Conduct forensic evaluations and testify in court when directed.
• Administer, interpret, and report psychological instruments.
• Apply varied treatment modalities according to current standards.
• Write discharge plans and manage termination.
• Manage clients in crisis with appropriate skills.
