Job summary

GuideStar Eldercare seeks a Clinical Psychologist to deliver neurobehavioral health services to residents in long-term care facilities. You will partner with multidisciplinary clinicians to support holistic care for aging patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and related neuropsychiatric conditions.

An active state psychology license, passion for geriatric care, and readiness to impact a population facing neurodegenerative disorders are required.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure as a psychologist.
• Interest in geriatric/neurobehavioral health.
• Willingness to work with residents in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provide neurobehavioral health assessment and treatment for residents in long-term care facilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate continuity of care.
• Support facilities in dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other neurocognitive/psychiatric conditions.

Your new role

As a Clinical Psychologist with GuideStar Eldercare, you will join in our efforts to provide neuro- behavioral health services to residents in long term care facilities. Using a multi-disciplinary approach, you will partner with specialty clinicians to provide holistic, continuity of care for the elderly afflicted with neurocognitive disorders like dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other neurologic and/or psychiatric diagnoses.

What you'll need to succeed

An active state Psychologist license, passion for the geriatric population, interest in neurobehavioral science, and readiness to make a difference in a population struggling with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other neurodegenerative disorders.
