Job summary

GuideStar Eldercare seeks a Clinical Psychologist to deliver neuro-behavioral health services in long‑term care facilities. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support residents with dementia and related conditions, promoting safety and dignity.

Requirements include an active state psychology license, passion for geriatric care, and interest in neurobehavioural science. HSPP is preferred where applicable. Flu vaccination is required for all employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation for residents in long-term care facilities.
• Establish differential diagnoses (e.g., Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, vascular).

• Offer condition-specific therapy or insight-based therapy as indicated.
• Coordinate the care plan with the facility, PCPs, GuideStar colleagues, and engage with families.

Role Overview

As a Clinical Psychologist with GuideStar Eldercare, you will join in our efforts to provide neuro‑behavioral health services to residents in long‑term care facilities. Using a multi‑disciplinary approach, you will partner with specialty clinicians to provide holistic, continuity of care for the elderly afflicted with neurocognitive disorders like dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other neurologic and/or psychiatric diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation
• Establish different diagnosis, i.e., Alzheimer's vs. Parkinson's vs. Vascular
• Provide cognitive assessments
• Provide condition‑specific support therapy or, when indicated, insight‑based therapy
• Coordinate the patient's care plan with the facility, PCP and GuideStar colleagues, and engage with the family as indicated

Qualifications

An active state Psychologist license, passion for the geriatric population, interest in neurobehavioural science, and a desire to make a difference in a population struggling with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other neurodegenerative disorders. An HSPP is preferred in applicable states.
