Overview

Led by CEO/Founder Dr. Steven Posar, we partner with long‑term care facilities to address complex psychological and medical management issues and regulatory compliance, helping facilities maintain high standards of care.

Role

As a Clinical Psychologist with GuideStar Eldercare, you will provide neuro‑behavioral health services to residents in long‑term care facilities using a multi‑disciplinary approach. You will partner with specialty clinicians to deliver holistic, continuity of care for elderly patients with neurocognitive disorders such as dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other neurologic and psychiatric diagnoses.

What you’ll do

• Provide evaluation
• Establish differential diagnosis (e.g., Alzheimer’s vs. Parkinson’s vs. Vascular)
• Conduct cognitive assessments
• Offer condition‑specific support therapy or insight‑based therapy when indicated
• Coordinate the patient’s care plan with the facility, PCP, and GuideStar colleagues, and engage with the family as needed

Qualifications

Active state Psychologist license, passion for geriatrics, interest in neurobehavioral science, and a desire to impact those with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other neurodegenerative disorders. An HSPP is preferred in applicable states.
