Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist to perform VA compensation and pension evaluations. This independent contractor role offers flexibility with telehealth and in-person opportunities, and a focus on objective, fact-based assessments for veterans.

You will operate under VA guidelines and deliver concise, properly formatted reports. Ideal candidates hold a PhD in psychology, active licensure, strong documentation skills, and comfort with structured evaluation

Qualifications

• PhD from an APA-accredited program in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology.
• Active Psychologist license.
• Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation & Assessment for Veterans using VA guidelines.
• Conduct structured psychological evaluations for Veterans based on VA guidelines.
• Utilize Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and standardized tools.
• Gather relevant history through focused, objective interviews.
• Document findings clearly in VA-required formats.
• Provide factual, unbiased assessments and timely reports.
• Maintain boundaries between evaluation and clinical care.
• Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards.

• Utilize Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and standardized assessment tools
• Gather relevant history through focused, objective interviews
• Objective Reporting
• Document findings clearly and concisely in VA-required formats
• Provide factual, unbiased assessments without influencing outcomes
• Complete and submit reports within required timeframes
• Non-Treatment Role
• No diagnosing for treatment, therapy, or medication management
• Maintain strict boundaries between evaluation and clinical care
• Professional Standards
• Adhere to all ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards
• Maintain professionalism when working with Veteran populations

Qualifications

• PhD from an APA-accredited program in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology
• Active Psychologist license
• Strong report-writing and documentation skills

Compensation & Structure

• 1099 Independent Contractor Position
• $125 – $210 per evaluation
• Flexible scheduling
• Telehealth and in-person opportunities available
