Job summary

Empower Mental Health seeks a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) for VA Compensation & Pension evaluations. This is a 1099 independent contractor role with flexible scheduling, offering telehealth and in-person opportunities.

Responsibilities include structured VA-guided evaluations, use of DBQs and standardized tools, collecting histories via focused interviews, and producing objective reports in VA formats by deadlines.

Qualifications

• PhD from an APA-accredited program in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology.
• Active Psychologist license.
• Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.

• Evaluation & Assessment Conduct structured psychological evaluations for Veterans based on VA guidelines
• Utilize Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and standardized assessment tools
• Gather relevant history through focused, objective interviews
• Objective Reporting Document findings clearly and concisely in VA-required formats
• Provide factual, unbiased assessments without influencing outcomes
• Complete and submit reports within required timeframes

Non-Treatment Role

• No diagnosing for treatment, therapy, or medication management
• Maintain strict boundaries between evaluation and clinical care

Professional Standards

• Adhere to all ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards
• Maintain professionalism when working with Veteran populations
