Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) for VA compensation and pension evaluations. This 1099 independent contractor role offers flexible scheduling with telehealth and in-person options to support veterans with objective, VA-compliant assessments.

• PhD from an APA-accredited program in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology.
• Active Psychologist license.
• Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation & Assessment
• Conduct structured psychological evaluations for Veterans based on VA guidelines
• Utilize Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and standardized assessment tools
• Gather relevant history through focused, objective interviews
• Objective Reporting
• Document findings clearly and concisely in VA-required formats
• Provide factual, unbiased assessments without influencing outcomes
• Complete and submit reports within required timeframes
• Non-Treatment Role
• No diagnosing for treatment, therapy, or medication management
• Maintain strict boundaries between evaluation and clinical care
• Professional Standards
• Adhere to all ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards
• Maintain professionalism when working with Veteran populations
