Chapter 13 Trustee Middle District of Alabama seeks a Clinical Psychiatrist for an inpatient setting near Morristown, NJ. This temp-to-perm role starts as a 90-day 1099 temporary position with a full-time transition to permanent, supporting evaluations, reports, and judicial testimony.

The physician will lead treatment planning, collaborate with the treatment team, and ensure compliance with Patient’s Bill of Rights and NJ statutes guiding psychiatric care and medication administration.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating and treating patients with psychiatric disorders in inpatient settings.
• Ability to prepare timely reports and testify in judicial reviews as required.
• Formulates treatment plans including discharge planning in coordination with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and document psychiatric status and risk assessments.
• Provide reports and testify in court as needed for insanity/fitness to proceed cases.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and discharge plans with the multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with clinical standards and applicable NJ/Judicial mandates.

**Description**Key Highlights: Clinical Psychiatrist | temp-to-perm 90-day temp on 1099 with a full-time transition as a permanent placement Near Morristown, NJ Facility type: Inpatient 40 hrs./week | Mon- Fri Duties: Evaluates and provides appropriate and timely reports and testifies in judicial reviews of insanity acquittees. Evaluates and provides appropriate and timely reports and testifies in judicial reviews related to the patient’s fitness to proceed to trial. Evaluates and provides appropriate and timely reports and testifies in judicial reviews related to the patient's need for guardianship. Studies, evaluates, diagnoses, and treats diseases/disorders of the mind in accord with the standard of care, Patient’s Bill of Rights, TJC standards, and legal/judicial mandates Takes the lead, formulating the treatment plan, which includes the discharge plan and the implementation with other members of the collaborative treatment team in accord with the Patient’s Bill of Rights and the standard of care. Complies with judicial mandates in accordance with NJ Statutes reflecting The Patient’s Bill of Rights, such as the review of the records of patients for prescribing of psychotropic medication, freedom from unnecessary physical restraint and isolation, emergency administration of medication, administration of medication over objection, and so forth. Organizes data concerning patients’ families, personal medical and psychiatric history, onset of symptoms, source of referral, emotional reactions and behavior, and intellectual functions. Is responsible for ensuring that psychiatric treatment complies with TJC standards, other accreditation bodies' standards, and legal or judicial mandates.
