Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking a board-certified/eligible psychiatrist to provide locum tenens coverage in Atlantic City, NJ. The role covers overnight shifts from 7pm to 7am, 7 on/7 off, in an outpatient psychiatric setting with adult and pediatric patients.

You will conduct psychiatric evaluations, determine dispositions, manage medications, supervise psychiatry residents, and collaborate with a fast-paced multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Board: BC/BE in Psychiatry.
• Active New Jersey Medical License (or willingness to obtain)
• Active DEA Certification
• BLS, CDS certifications
• Psychiatric emergency evaluation experience; adult and pediatric psychiatry experience
• Resident teaching interest; ability to supervise psychiatry residents

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations for adult and pediatric patients in crisis in the psychiatric emergency setting.
• Determine appropriate patient disposition including admissions, discharges, and observation determinations.
• Provide medication management for psychiatric patients.
• Supervise and teach psychiatry residents during overnight shifts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced psychiatric emergency setting.
