Job summary

UAB Medicine's Health System Information Services (HSIS) team keeps IT systems running to deliver quality care. This role supports project review, requirements gathering, and stakeholder communication across projects.

Responsibilities include contract analysis, planning, risk tracking, dashboards, and financial management, with a focus on collaboration with HSIS leadership and executives.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field required and 3 years’ experience required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate smaller projects and meetings with documentation of participants, next steps, and decisions.
• Performs contract analysis and submits findings for review and approval.
• Assist in creating long and short-term project plans with milestones and deadlines.
• Support evaluation of project schedule and adjust dates as needed.
• Communicate with executives or HSIS leadership to align with department goals.
• Document and monitor risks associated with the project.
• Update sponsor and team on project status and progress.
• Lead creation of portfolio dashboards showing health, utilization and financial performance.
• Support project financial management including cost plans, budgets, and actuals tracking.
