Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Corrections, Faribault facility, is seeking Clinical Program Therapist 1 or 2 to deliver specialized behavioral health services to incarcerated individuals in an alcohol and other drug treatment program. Work under limited supervision with daily duties from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Positions require licensure or eligibility as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) per Minnesota Board; Master's degree or one year of relevant experience; to develop

Qualifications

• One year of experience providing behavioral health services to clients with substance use disorders.
• Or a Master's degree in a related Behavioral Health/Science program.
• If degree is in related field not listed, transcripts may be requested.
• Knowledge of substance use treatment methods, professional standards, and ethics.
• Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and continuing care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized professional therapeutic programming to offenders in an alcohol and other drug treatment program.
• Perform assessment/evaluation, psycho-educational programming, monitoring and reporting.
• Teach a psycho-educational course and work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain professional standards and exercise sound judgment.
